JOB DESCRIPTION:

Journeyman Welder B , 1^st shift and 2^nd shift openings

FUNCTION:

Plan and perform all necessary operations to assemble and weld a side variety of weldments.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1-3 years mig/tig welding experience. Must be able to work with a variety of materials ferrous and non-ferrous and be totally competent in the welding. Must be able to read blueprints, instructions, and measurement devices such as tape measurers and calipers. Must be able to weld in all positions.

DUTIES:

· Work with minimum supervision.

· Properly fit and align parts within tolerances.

· Operate welding equipment, regulate current voltage or gas and feed rate for proper fusion of metals.

· May provide some training to others as assigned.

· Maintain a clean and safe work area.

· Other duties as deemed necessary.
